Now let's tune in.
We have done the inner work; now it's time to tune into our horses, ourselves and the universe. I don’t want you to take this too seriously; it brings fun, joy, and awareness into your life.
Tune in to your horse
Sometimes they are just waiting for you to let down a block you didn’t even know you had and let them into a deeper level of connection. It could be overwhelming, with all they try to show you at once, or it could be sudden and gentle, opening up little by little. I wouldn't be upset either way, because even in their approach, they are telling you about themselves and showing you who they are in simple ways that can be easily overlooked.
Have fun, and don’t be one-sided when trying to understand them. Open your heart to your own feelings and emotions. Horses are so emotionally intelligent and honest; they probably already know, but it's the act of doing so that deepens your connection. People sometimes try to hide things from their horses, and horses see right through it, so let's build an honest, open relationship.
The feeling you get from their eyes can be so powerful and pure. It is a gateway into their soul, emotions, and feelings they hold close to their hearts. Don’t overthink this. Just let yourself feel without your brain and ego getting in the way. It is as if your hearts are connecting on a deeper level. I love to take a notebook with me or just remember that feeling for later and journal. It helps me process what they are trying to show me so that my mind can understand.
Tune in to ourselves
Sometimes your horse tries to communicate with you through your own body. Have you ever been okay, and then, when you're with your animal, you feel a pain or emotion you didn’t feel before? Animals often try to show you how they feel, using our own bodies, so tune in. Who knows what messages they’re trying to tell you. Now, not every act or feeling is theirs, but if you're unsure, ask the universe: is this mine or theirs, or did you pick something completely different up from somewhere else?
Tune into the universe
No such thing as convenience. If something keeps popping up in your life, maybe there's a reason for it, and you should lean into it. To be clear, I am not talking about things popping up on social media. That is a logarithm, but little things that come up when you're not expecting them. Yes, something could pop up on your social media that is meant to be, but I would not rely on that alone.
Be open. That is the big thing I want to say, because we miss so many wonderful things when they are not what we expect. You never know what you will find.
