The Feeling with Loss

Okay, I have the next post for the reset with your horse written, but it hasn’t felt right to post it. If something feels off, I won’t post it until it feels right. Life has been busy, as it always is. If I am honest, your time gets filled with something, whether you like it or not. So this week I am going to write about a topic that has been all around me lately and is very close to my heart. I help clients with their loved ones and animals...

So, to start off, my husband’s grandmother passed away. I also had many clients who had animals or loved ones pass away lately. Whether it is my own family or my clients, I want to hold space for them. There is no manual on how to grieve or what to do and what not to do, because every person and every situation is different. You take it day by day or moment by moment. I'm not an expert, but I am connected to the spirit realm. So, I guess this post is a message for everyone who has loved anyone or anything that has left this physical realm.

First, the feeling you can’t mourn them if they were in pain and ready to go.

Even though their spirit has been released from the physical body that caused them pain, their spirit will always be with you, which can bring you some peace. That doesn't mean you can’t be sad about losing their physical presence. This chapter of your life has ended, and you can’t control that, so let yourself feel everything you need to process. It might be very simple or heart-wrenching, but it may also be veiled and surface-level. No matter the emotion, let yourself feel it because you lost the piece of yourself that you were when you were with them. Not only that but the memories you will always have and hold so dear to you with the no possibilities of making new ones.

It not all gone

Just because you’re saying goodbye to the relationship you have now doesn’t mean you can’t create a new relationship with their soul. They could be your guide, your teacher, your biggest supporter, your angel. You won’t know until you open yourself up to the possibility of what it could be. Now I am connected to Oly and Maggie all the time. It may look and feel different but it still them. I ask for their guidance, help, love, and support, or for them to show me what I should do or give me strength in situations where I need it. They don’t always connect the same way, but in one way or another, they are here for me. I honestly wouldn’t be writing this now without them.

I will post a picture of Oly while he was in the land of the living! He was my pretty boy. Now, when I see him in my mind, it is completely different, but his loving soul is still the same. If you want to see how I see him now, I created a few products called the Vision of Oly to honour his soul as a spirit! Click here to check them out.

Guilt

This is a big one for people, even long after someone has passed; we still choose to hold on to guilt. Even though it doesn't keep their memory alive or hold them close, it does the opposite. It brings all the hurt and pain to the front of your mind all the time, instead of remembering the things that make you smile, laugh, and feel joy. I know it is easier said than done, but start taking small steps every day to release the negative energy you are holding on to.

Holding onto it can always block the channel between you and them, causing past that can’t be changed, almost like a fog over the signs they are trying to send you. Guilt is living in the pass that can’t be change. If you can start to let go of all the layers that guilt can have over you, it can start to build a new relationship in the future.

Why me?

That's a question that crosses a lot of people's minds, though many don’t talk about it. This could be an accident that shouldn’t have happened. Their body gave up before they even got old, yet the list goes on. We don’t have any control over what this life holds for us. Nor did we do anything to bring this upon ourselves. Life may not make sense and can be painful at times, but it all has its own way of working itself out.

Now, I am not an expert on the subject as I have said, but it has been everywhere I look lately. I don’t believe that is just a coincidence. If I can help hold space and support you and the loved one who passed, I will do so in every way I can. If you’re reading this and going through it, I am so sorry. There is not one way to grieve, but I hope talking about it helps in some way, shape or form. I also have something coming soon to guide and support you through times like this.

With Light and Love,

Whit
